Mae's Big Adventure is the second of the anticipated five in the series known as the Mae books. In Mae's Big Adventure, the energetic toddler goes on an exciting trip to visit her grandmother. Her adventure starts in an airplane and ends with a new appreciation of life back home - a useful lesson for us all. Little Mae has the same upbeat, inquisitive and quirky personality you grew to love in "The Funny List" and this book promises to be just as entertaining. Why Finite Wake-ups?
A few years ago, a woman I knew lost her battle with cancer. As arrangements were being made for her funeral, I learned she had been planning a trip with a friend to return to France for the last 20 years. I thought about that and decided 20 years may be how long you take for a trip to the moon; however, going to France can happen on a four-day weekend - even if you have to stay in a hostel! I decided, as a person who literally has her bucket list taped to her desk, that Finite Wake-ups, LLC would be launched. The tag line "live your bucket list" is meant to inspire people to do just that.
As a person who has always wanted to be a writer, I had to make it happen to walk the talk. In spite of a demanding government career, I decided to step out on faith and publish The Funny List! Although writing and publishing the book was a labor of love with a steep learning curve, I am living my best life and encourage others to do the same. Mae's Big Adventure happened while we were still in COVID lockdown so I dedicated the book to a few businesses in the hospitality and travel industry as they were really hard-hit during the pandemic.
